The Global Unity of Ostomates&#8221;<\/p><p>This is the only worldwide event designed specifically for YOU to promote YOUR association to the public, supply companies, and other Ostomates so please make use of it.<\/p><p>There are a number of ways that you can do this;<\/p><p>1. A seminar open to everyone including the supply companies.<br \/>2. Display days in public places such as shopping malls.<br \/>3. Walks in public places (have a banner handy)<br \/>4. Celebratory dinners<\/p><p>Remember if YOU don\u2019t do this no one else will!<\/p><p>You need to try and get as much advertising as possible so look at things like Newspapers, Radio, and if you can do it then try for TV coverage as well. Look for someone in your association who is well known and who can be a public figurehead for you so that people<br \/>will sit up and take notice of you.<\/p><p>Target younger people using social Media, if you have a website or Facebook page theN make the most use of these tools. If you get on well with a particular STN then ask them for their help.<\/p><p>If you have other ideas as to how you can celebrate WOD please come back to me and let me have these ideas and I can send them out to other associations in order that they may also benefit.
